Happy Birthday America! I have the opportunity to work at the best camp, in the best town, in the best state in the best country in the world on many international and domestic metrics. I know this as a fact because I have traveled and worked in over 40 countries and 50 states.
I am able to work with children of different ages and ability levels. I also am able to direct their parents during traffic. These are the freedoms of America that I believe in- esp. and including the right to work. There are no "free rewards programs" when it comes to working with our children.
A long time ago I researched things like client engagement, reform, accountability and the like, an even longer time ago I was able to be in the "trenches" directly with children and teachers. I believe strongly in the institutions of schooling and swimming, my scholarship for my PhD was from a woman named Ann Lubin who created the floating pools in NYC.
The labor leisure trade off becomes less steep when you work with young children at the pool. But if reviews from direct beneficiaries matter than here are mine...
